Who we are

Example Trades Limited is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can reach us atinfo@example.gg, or by post at 1 Example Lane, St Peter Port, GY1 1AA.

What we collect, and why

If you send us an enquiry, we collect the name, contact details and message you provide. We use these solely to respond to you and to keep a record of the enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you have asked us to get in touch, and handling that request is what the information is for.

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone for their own purposes.

Analytics

We do not use any analytics on this website. We do not count or record your visit beyond the ordinary server logs needed to deliver the site securely.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. There is nothing for you to accept or decline, which is why you have not been shown a cookie banner. See ourcookie statement for the detail.

Spam protection

Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that submissions come from a person rather than an automated script. To do that it processes limited technical information about your browser and connection. It does not use cookies for tracking and does not identify you personally.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers who process information strictly on our instructions: Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers the contact form, andPostmark delivers enquiries to our inbox. Your enquiry also sits in our email account once it arrives.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 24 months, then delete them. If your enquiry becomes a job, the related records are kept for as long as we need them for that work and for any legal or accounting obligation that follows.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Emailinfo@example.gg and we will respond.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Authority atodpa.gg.

Changes to this notice

If we change how this site handles personal information, we will update this page and the review date above.
